Attending a car show in 1981, Art Alvarez fell in love with airbrushing and started honing his skills immediately customizing T-shirts. After working with Ed "Big Daddy" Roth for a couple of years, he went on his own in 1985, branching into more artistic ventures. Working with Disney for years, he is most known for his work on Pocahontas. In 2008, Alvarez returned to private practice and is about to launch a new line of illustrations. He also has reclaimed his passion of touring car shows and airbrushing T-shirts.
