A mechanical engineer, Dave Kimble has also been a professional artist for 34 years. Early on in his career, he worked as a draftsmen and artist for the Navy. In the 60’s, he did illustrations for Sports Car Graphic and Road & Track magazine. A self-taught artist, Kimble opened his own studio in 1976, and his unique transparent cutaways of cars have earned him fame in the world of fine art. His work has been featured in Airbrush Digest, Airbrush Action, and Motor Trend Classic magazine. His current project is a book about Corvettes.
