Alan Johnson worked his way through the Newark School of Fine Industrial Art in the 60's by airbrushing, pinstriping and lettering anything he could.  Johnson has been an independent pinstriper and custom auto artist since 1974. He is a consultant for automotive paint manufacturers, he writes "How -To" articles for trade periodicals and has recently launched his own line of signature brushes with The Mack Brush Company. Collections of his fine art masterpieces are in galleries and finally available to the public as collectable, limited edition prints. Alan wrote his first book in 2007, How-To-Pinstripe published by Motorbooks. He continues to teach and demonstrate his pinstriping and airbrush techniques throughout the USA, UK and Finland.
